Alan Braxe drops ‘Moments In Time’ EP – pick it up, for FREE

An influential figure of the French music scene, Alan Braxe is leading a life of multiple facets. A DJ, producer, sought-after remixer, event promoter and the label boss at Vulture, Braxe shows he still has the touch on the first EP release since 2007. It is great to see that besides demanding commitments regarding the label, he's taken the time to come up with gorgeous new tracks on 'Moments In Time'. The 11 track EP/remix package is handed out FREE via Scion AV, right here. You can also listen the whole EP below!

The highly anticipated EP has French written all over it. Dreamy and slick, it will make you bask in a nostalgia-filled starlight. Chateaubriand, Lifelike, Gigamesh, Memory Tapes, Le Crayon and DJ Falcon chip in with refined remixes. Amony my favorites are Le Crayon's electro remake and Chateaubriand's chilled out edit of 'Time Machine'.

Zeds Dead: BBC 1 Essential Mix

Starting with the iconic dialogue from Pulp Fiction, the set is kicked off. Soulful and skillful are the adjectives that soon jump to mind. Even though the tempo of the set is altered throughout, the mix never let's down on energy. At times, it is bottled up, yearning to reveal itself without quite getting out. Then there are other segments where the bass is let loose. Continually surprising, the 2-hour set by Zeds Dead is surely not to be missed.  The Canadian duo mostly plays their own originals, as well as remixes including the result of the ambitious task of remixing Prodigy's iconic 'Breathe'. Among the selection of almost 70 tracks, you'll also find 'Ratchet', a trap experimentation by DC and Hooks we recently featured in the DJ-Followers Daily Dose of Free Tunes!

LIVE sets from the Ed Bangers 10th anniversary party

As we reported, Ed Banger's 10th anniversary was bound to be a grandiose French electro affair. The show was broadcast live and the tape-recorders were recording. To prove our point, we direct your attention to the best of the ed bangin sets!

Extraordinary mix by Avicii on Diplo & Friends

“Tonight is probably our biggest show to date,” the host said. “One of the favourite mixes I’ve heard, period, in my life. This is a phenomenal mix, and it’s very special, exclusively for Radio 1.” Diplo is right, it was a totally surprising move to bring Avicii in for the show. The mix that the Swede delivered – just as unexpected.  You'll hear a more intimate selection of songs, earlier influences of the progressive house DJ and more current tracks like Dog Blood's Middle Finger. In the latter half of the special mix, you will also hear the infamous Etta James song which was sampled in 'Levels'. You'll want to download this one for FREE, because these ones don't come along so often!

DJ-Follower’s Daily Dose of Free Tunes: 04.03.13

Start off your week with some of these uplifting compositions. Jewelz & Scott Sparks, Oneman and Zeds Dead have worked their magic these productions, varying from progressive to traditional house, trap to hip hop!

Reminder: these tracks are the courtesy of the artist. Sort of creative commons that you are supposed to share, mix and remix as you please. Nevertheless, we urge you to support the artists by acquiring their other releases and going to the shows! Enjoy, and grab them while you can!

Also: Don't miss out on last weekend's dose of free tunes!

The London-based producer Oneman has put together his favorite edits and mash-ups for promotion ahead of the upcoming North-American tour. Hip-hop, trap and a bangin' house track in the midst of it: TNGHT vs. Gucci Mane, Zomby vs. Dizzee Rascal, TLC vs. Dro Carey, and more. Grab them here!

Australian act Nice To Touch is nice enough to help you wind down on the hectic Monday you might be having. Grab this Flume-reminiscent chilled electronica tune called 'Asagaya' and make a note of the artist, not a bad debut track, isn't it?

'Truffle Pig' got released from Fool's Gold in late 2012. The progressive track got airplay in the best radio shows, bringing Australian Tommy Trash to the spotlight. Jewelz & Scott Sparks have done their own six-minute bootleg of it. Grab it while you can!

Zeds Dead are giving away a killer trap tune titled 'Ratchet'. Get it now, no telling how long it's given out free!
