Boys Noize & Skrillex DJ duo as Dog Blood at UMF: video + full set with new material
When we reported that dubstep rockstar Sonny Moore aka Skrillex and German buzzsaw electro wiz Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize are collaborating on 'acid terror' project Dog Blood, we couldn't hide our excitement. The first two tracks were instant rave-starters in my book. Combining fast hi-hats and raw analog electricity with Skrillex screeching samples and banging basslines, the duo was set to be massive from day 1. The performance at Ultra Music Festival has proven to be definitive evidence that the newfound DJ and producing act isn't a fluke. Scroll down for new material and a video from the UMF performance!
The mixing was done by Rida for the large part, Skrillex took the responsibility to kick-start the crowd with shouts on the mic. Two new tracks were played at the hour-long techno thriven set: speculated to be titled 'Limits' and 'Blood Bath'. Remixes of Birdy Nam Nam’s “Goin In” and Wax Motif & Neoteric’s “Go Deep” made the ravers go into rage mode instantly. Check out the video!

DJ-Follower’s Daily Dose of Free Tunes: ZHU, Mt. Eden and AMTRAC
On display today: drum & bass, electro house and the distinct flavor of Azari & III remixed by AMTRAC. Ellie Goulding's 'Anything Could Happen' just doesn't stop inspiring producers. This time, the remix comes from Mt. Eden. Prankster of the Week, TJR, sees his acapella track turned into electro house. Take a listen to the great selection!
Reminder: these tracks are the courtesy of the artist. Sort of creative commons that you are supposed to share, mix and remix as you please. Nevertheless, we urge you to support the artists by acquiring their other releases and going to the shows! Enjoy, and grab them while you can!
Also: Don't miss out on the last Dose of Free Tunes by Diplo & GTA, Blare and Robotic Pirate Monkey
Ellie Goulding's immensely successful hit 'Anything Could Happen' has seen remixes from various artists. By many, Birdy Nam Nam's version is held as the most outstanding. While Mt. Eden, the best DJ act out of New Zealend worked hard on the drum & bass version of the English pop singer's track, it doesn't come close to the delicate works of the French turntablists. Nevertheless, an enjoyable remix up for grabs!
If you missed the funny-as-hell 'acapella' 'What's Up Suckaz' by TJR, take a listen here. As always, there are plenty of creatful producers looking to sample and remix whatever's put out there. Zhu has actually done a decent job with it. An electro house tune for the dance-floors. Take a listen!
This spring, Azari & III will be releasing their final single & remix package, featuring "Lost In Time" off the 'Self Titled' album. Remixes will be done by Jori Hulkkonen and VCO. This one comes from AMTRAC. Stay updated with DJ-Follower!

Missy Elliot's 'Work It' gets bootlegged by Diplo and GTA. What happened? Push play on the moombahton banger they played during the weekend at Ultra!
Devil Disco gave their track 'Gritz' to Blare for a remix. Safe to say they delivered big – this slightly grimier electro house tune is for the clubs with more underground vibe! Enjoy!
Robotic Pirate Monkey is a group that fuses samples from all sorts of old school tracks to make something fresh for the disco. The American group consists of Andrew Hathaway, Matt Berryhill and Matt Flesher. Ahead of their ongoing North-American tour they've decided to hand out copies of their 'Booty Snatch' EP. The 5 track EP features collaborations with Late Night Radio and Digital Connection. Start pillaging, this glitchy dubstep production isn't going to download itself for free!

This one's not exactly from any funk genre, although it's one hell of a funky D'n'B tune. Besides, the artist name is Funkanomics, so let's go! Elton John could've used this kind of remixing a while ago, if you ask me. Drum and bass for the open-minded. Enjoy!
