While touring along Excision on the Executioner tour, the rapidly upcoming bass music producer Vaski has found time and energy to remix The Neighbourhood's 'Sweater Weather'. Continuing to push the limits, he's shown off his multi-faceted identity to come up with an authentic remix.

Enjoy the following dubstep-influenced house edit and read a few words from Vaski himself. “I found the original through related artists and was instantly hooked. It was one of those songs that I liked but I kept hearing things I thought they should do differently, so I started making an edit for fun, and it turned into a full remix. I haven’t done much at 128 but I’m really happy with how this turned out. Lately I’ve been chasing a certain sound with my production, and this remix is a sneak peak at what’s to come in the coming months.”

One of the leading electro house DJs in the world, Wolfgang Gartner, started a record label not so long ago. Appropriately called the Kindergarten Recordings, it has gathered young blood with a similar sounding electro power under its wing. To boost their efforts and the common cause of the imprint, the 'Freshman Class' has done their initiation ritual in a form of 4-track Yearbook Compilation. The Freshmen are Popeska, DallasK, Charlie Darker and Chrono. Grab the electrifying tracks for just that little effort to like them at Facebook! Enjoy!

DJ-Follower’s Weekend’s Dose of Free Tunes: Overwerk, Space Jesus, Viceroy and Matpat

Abba and Daft Punk sampled for a raw electro track by Overwerk. Space Jesus invites you to rhyme over the freebie, instrumental version of 'Star Trek Shit'. Next up, Matpat takes you back a few decades to the Chicago school of house. And last but not least, Viceroy will take you back in time some more, to bask in the sun-light and groove below the disco-ball. Have a great weekend!

Canadian producer Overwerk is bringing you good old electro, powerful and raw.  Mostly built on an Abba sample, this one's also got a cool snippet of Daft Punk sample at 3:53 saying ''Over work it'. When you wake up '12:30', realize you're 3 hours late for work, you'll want to listen to this one to get firestarted for the hectic day ahead!

Space Jesus has put out the instrumental version of his tune 'Star Trek Shit' to welcome aspiring rappers and vocalists lay their rhymes over it.

Message from Space Jesus: "Looking to work with some new vocalists, feel free to rap, sing, spit or do whatever it is you do on this track and send it to Spacejesus@deathwaltz.com ! let's see what y'all got!"

The Montreal duo EZLV recently joined the Plant Music family. With no time wasted, 'Keep It Coming' EP was released, featuring superb house productions reminiscent of the early days of the Chicago spawned genre. Traditionally, remixes are included in the EP. So Matpat put his '88 Mix spin on 'Keep It Coming'. Rave!

New disco cultivator Viceroy is already feeling summer vibes at his San Fransisco base. Feel free to bask in the sun light with his latest remix of Magic by the New Yorkers The Knocks. The profound grooves and tribal feel of the original mix have gotten a 80's disco re-make. Solid work, and a keeper for those favoring dancefloors decorated with the glittering silver-globes!

DJ-Follower’s Daily Dose of Free Tunes: Cesqueax, Blood Diamonds and Buraka Som Sistema

Trap, dubstep and …zouk bass?! Listen to Buraka Som Sistema's 'Zouk Flute' to get an idea of a possible new genre in electronic music. Other track's include Blood Diamonds a-typical dubstep edit of Kendrick Lamar's 'Swimming Pools' and not-just-another trap banger by Cesqeaux

Reminder: these tracks are the courtesy of the artist. Sort of creative commons that you are supposed to share, mix and remix as you please. Nevertheless, we urge you to support the artists by acquiring their other releases and going to the shows! Enjoy, and grab them while you can!

Since trap music was introduced to the wider consciousness, a lot of producers have jumped on the bandwagon. Many of them shouldn’t have done that. Cesqeaux isn’t one of them. Huge bass, murky hip hop, great rhythm and better lead synth make it a proper tune. Enjoy!

A new sound in electronic music is bubbling up. It's called 'zouk bass', and we first heard it on Buraka Som Sistema's Boiler Room set. this form of bass music is supported by few others, we'll see if there will be a match for the seductive melodic flow of 'Zouk Flute'.

Kendrick Lamar's climbed he latter to become one of the most sought after hip hop acts of the present day. Because of his distinct flavor of rhymes and beats, he's also one of the most remixed rappers out there. 'Swimming Pools' has been done over time and time again. Blood Diamonds felt that the hereby track would be most suitable in an a-typical dubstep spin. Enjoy!
