We start of with two remixes by a dude who runs 4 labels, produces and plays music. Jesse Rose is a jack of all trades. Judging by these slick edits I'd say he's got mad skills. Let's keep an eye on this guy, won't we?
Okay, okay. It might not be Monday anymore, but the energy on this one is more suitable to get over to the more fun side of the week, anyway!
Something for hip hop and trap lovers. About to release an EP this Spring, the duo of ex-DMC champions, Thugli, is an appreciated contributer to the trap movement. They've gotten support from guys like Diplo, A-Trak, RL Grime, Just Blaze, and Baauer. The 'Inflight' mix they've just unleashed will surely win over a lot more people.

‘Free the Universe’ postponed AGAIN, Major Lazer’s statement + Free EP
If you have been keeping an eye on the news about Major Lazer's forthcoming 'Free the Universe', you probably know it was originally set to release in November, 2012. The album seeing high profile collaborators on every track was delayed until February 19. However, there are still some of the last touches waiting to be done, before this bad boy of an album gets unleashed. To relieve your pain and anticipation, camp Mad Decent has issued a free EP called 'Lazer Strikes Back Vol.1'. Read further for a statement on the delay and the FREE download!
Major Lazer explained their situation on Facebook:
"Our fans are the most important part of what makes Major Lazer what it is. It is with that consideration that “FREE THE UNIVERSE” will not be released this month as previously scheduled. We never want to disappoint our supporters but circumstances out of our control have made us unable to keep the intended date. For anyone disappointed, we are truly apologetic and we promise that this hiccup has only made what we have planned for the album stronger. We tried extremely hard to keep the date but it was ultimately decided that rushing the album would have been unfair to you and everyone who worked so hard on it. An iTunes exclusive pre-order in the US will launch next Tuesday, 2/26 which will feature an instant grat download of the forthcoming Major Lazer single “Watch Out for This (Bumaye).”In the mean time, please download LAZER STRIKES BACK Vol. 1. We will be putting out 3 volumes of rare/unreleased music on-line until album release"
So you see, it is all for your own sake. A lot of the tracks from the album will probably reach wider audiences on the 'Free the Universe' tour, kicking off on February 28th. Right now, don't hesitate to download this wonderful EP to kickstart your week. Jack Beats, Yellow Claw, DGRC as well as Major Lazer themselves have done these superb remixes.
