JUSTICE uploads 8 remixes of their tracks! Brodinski, Tiga, Erol Alkan, Para One and more
Justice has been one of those infamous production duos similar to Daft Punk or The Knife – after releasing something they'll leave you hungry for more, for a long time! Not this time, though! There are great news regarding the French electro-gods!
2012 has been huge for Justice, they've done a lot of tour dates in support of their album 'Audio, Video, Disco'. They're full throttle heading into 2013 with the announcement of a five-track EP 'Helix' set to release on January 8! It's going to be the title track plus the extended version and two additional remixes. Then there's 2 more tracks – 'Ohio' and 'Presence'. We start off the latest uploads by Justice, with one of the remixes from the upcoming EP.
This is a real treat for the fans of Justice, uploaded to their official Youtube channel a day ago! Check out remixes by an impressive line-up of artists who have taken on the honors to mess with tracks like On'n'On; Canon; Audio, Video, Disco and Helix by Justice. OWSLA launch sub-label The Nest + preview: Dog Blood ‘Middle Finger’ remixed by The M Machine
As discussed in the article about Skrillex and Boys Noize going ahead with project Dog Blood, there are reasons to get excited after the original two releases! One of the reasons is the upcoming remix of 'Middle Finger' by The M Machine. Another reason is the new sub-label/web service The Nest!
The track is going to be released from the new sub-label OWSLA – The Nest. The service hosted by Drip.fm will be bringing you more underground releases, more exclusive tracks that come across the OWSLA family. OWSLA follows the footsteps of other labels like Domino, Mad Decent and many more. A really cool trend, by the way – rather than charging for individual tracks, you'll get all the releases + bonus stuff sooner than others for a monthly fee.
As it stand in the official OWSLA page:
"#TheNest is a new sub-label of OWSLA where we’ll be releasing all of our favorite music in conjunction with our main OWSLA releases, including rare and unreleased remixes and edits from all of the coolest artists we know. For $12/month, you get access to EVERY OWSLA release in MP3+WAV 24 hours before anyone else, plus FREE weekly Nest exclusives that won’t be available to ANYONE including goodies like VIP edits, DJ sets, sound kits, priority access to shows, and way more."
Not bad, not bad at all! We'll be keeping a look on The Nest as producers new and old hatch out masterpieces to be released into the night skies and onto the the dancefloors! Check out this preview of a remix of the track 'Middle Finger' by The M Machine! Soon to be released from The Nest!

Remixes of Boys Noize coming in bunches
Recently, Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize announced the rankings of his 'What You Want' remix contest. However, these aren't the only remixes from the latest Boys Noize release 'Out of the Black', as there's already a really cool electro-funk remake by Chromeo and a remix EP for 'Ich R U' under way!
Head here for the full list of 'What You Want' remix contest results. During the competition, some really original perspectives on the electro house track turned out. Listen to a selection of remixes from the contest and another teaser from the upcoming 'Ich R U' EP which is going to feature remixes from Chromeo, Jacques Lu Cont, Jimmy Edgar, Van She and D.I.M. The EP is set to release on 14th January from Boysnoize Records.
First runner up Overkill chopped up the vocals and turned down the tempo to start off his noisy, yet refined take on the track. A notch down on the tempo but a notch up on the buzzsaw!
Another runner up was Wolf Saga who managed to keep the essence regardless of the new electrical layers on top of the track, a notch down on the raw and a notch up on electronica!
There's another remix from the DJ-duo Manics which wasn't featured in the contest, but is worth mentioning nevertheless! This one's actually my favorite this far. It grabs a hold of you with fundamental editing, intricate guitar and cowbell fills, rhythms and quality build-ups. Manics are currently #9200 in The Official Global DJ Rankings. But proper skills in the production room shows that Manics is a DJ-duo to keep your eye on!
Besides the Chromeo remix, there's already the first glimpse of the banging Jacques Lu Cont remix! This one pushes all the right buttons for Annie Mac, as she shouts out that this is 'hands in the air' material!
New release and a video by Alesso
I wouldn't be surprised if guys like Boys Noize, Laidback Luke or A-Trak supported this track in their mixes. Usually specializing on progressive house, Alesso has taken a turn to electro house with the new release called 'Clash'
This surprisingly raw banger tops off a great year for one of the Swedish top guns. Alesso entered the popular consciousness in 2011, with original productions and remixes for the likes of Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Tiësto, Sander van Doorn and Kaskade. 2012 has seen the first Essential Mix and a minimix for 'Young Stars Takeover' on BBC Radio 1; the immensely successful release of 'Years' + video (below); hit the the top spot on Beatport and DMC Buzz Charts; travelled the world playing from Masquerade Motel in Miami to Coachella, EDC to Tomorrowland and Milton Keynes Bowl.
