Mary Anne Hobbs will pay tribute to The Spaceape on her BBC Radio 6 Music show tonight.

Stephen Samuel Gordon, aka the Spaceape, died Thursday (Oct. 2), according to his label, Hyperdub.

He passed away peacefully after a 5 year struggle with a rare form of cancer,” a press release from the London-based record label said. “He leaves behind his wife Luciana and 6 year old daughter, Cleo.

Music will be coming from frequent Spaceape collaborator Kode9, The Bug, Mala and Flying Lotus.
