Dutch DJ Duo Vicetone: Blending Genres and Building an International Following
Dutch DJ duo, Vicetone, has been captivating audiences with their unique blend of electronic dance music (EDM) since 2012. Comprising Victor Pool and Ruben Den Boer, the duo has steadily built an international following for their uplifting and energetic music.
Vicetone first came onto the scene in 2012 with their remix of Nervo’s “You’re Gonna Love Again,” which quickly gained attention from EDM promoters and fans alike. Since then, the duo has gone on to release popular tracks such as “Nevada” featuring Cozi Zuehlsdorff and “Fix You” featuring Emily Falvey.
What sets Vicetone apart from others in the EDM scene is their focus on melody and songwriting. With a background in classical music, Pool and Den Boer incorporate live instruments, including guitar and piano, into their compositions.
Their music has garnered the attention of top EDM DJs and producers such as Tiësto, Nicky Romero, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Vicetone has also worked with popular artists from other genres, including pop sensation Katy Perry and indie band Walk Off The Earth.

In addition to their music, the duo has also been involved in philanthropic efforts, supporting organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund and the Special Olympics.
But like many artists in the music industry, the COVID-19 pandemic has presented several challenges to Vicetone. With concert tours and live events postponed or canceled, the duo turned to livestreaming their performances from their studio in the Netherlands.
“We were devastated when the world shut down, and we couldn’t perform for live audiences,” said Pool, “But we knew we needed to find a way to stay connected with our fans and continue sharing our music.”
Their livestreamed performances have been a hit with fans, allowing them to connect with their audience in an intimate setting. The duo has also been able to use the online platform to collaborate with other artists and host Q&A sessions with fans.
With over 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a loyal fanbase, there’s no telling where Vicetone will go next. But one thing is for sure, their heartfelt and energetic music will continue to resonate with fans around the world.
