Axwell Caged in an Electric Zoo – Roaring a Mix Through the Bars

Whenever you go to see someone from Swedish House Mafia crew the expetactions run high and they run even higher after the group`s decision to call it quits. It`s really interesting to see if they can bring something fresh on the table as individual acts, beacause to be honest we have become bored of same old predictable SHM sets that they have been playing gig after gig. So we are all genuinely curious to see if they can step it up as Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso or Axwell.

It`s really interesting to see if they can bring something fresh on the table as individual acts, beacause to be honest we have become bored of same old predicatble SHM sets that they have been playing gig after gig. So we are all genuinely curious to see if they can step it up as Steve, Sebastian or Axwell. We have no doubt they can. Having seen what Axwell delivered at this years Electric Zoo festival in New York we can assertively say that he has not been resting on his laurels. In his 90 minute set, he really dug deeper from Beatport top 10 chart and caught the crowd right off-guard with some ID tracks and a number of new mixing combinations. The new Tommy Trash remix of Aston Shuffle`s “We wont get lost” which will be released from Axwell`s own imprint Axtone was certainly one of the highlights of the set and got everybody really engaged. We can definitely say that Axwell was nothing close to being predictable or repetitive and is still very much on top of his game. He played a set which was full of emotion and energy and really kickstarted the “post-SHM” era for the crew. While the bar has been set high by Axwell we are anxiously waiting what can the two other mafiosos come up with.
